BA Graphic Design 2019-2021
3-D DESIGN CLASS
STEP 1
We created 10 different design patterns,
and after critique, we choose one the
most effective.
I choose #1
STEP 2
With my pattern, I should create a space for human use.

During the critique, nobody in the class should know what space I created, but express their thoughts on what it is.

The designer of the piece should be silent during the critique and does not provide any additional information about the purpose of the space. Because in the real-world when we create the design project, we newer stay next to it and explain what it is and how to use it.
If the user does not understand it, so it is a designer problem.

What do you think my space is? :)
STEP 3
Make it more interesting and address all the issues my classmates point out during the previous critique.

Space is the library.

DSGD 100 - VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS & PROCESS
STEP 1
Choose the object that you want to explore for months. Choose carefully because you cannot change the object halfway through.

I choose the music box. I thought it has so many elements, mechanics, interactive, and create beautiful music. I newer will be bored with such a thing!
(I was wrong)
1-Photo 2 - Pencil drawing 3 - Pastel painting 4 - Vector drawing 5 - Icon
STEP 2
Explore, explore, explore.
We have to take as many photos as possible, draw a million sketches, so we can understand and feel the object.
Final will selection of best four images: photo, pencil drawing, pastel drawing, and vector drawing. Only after that, we are ready to create an icon!
So similar to real-world :)
STEP 3
Now we ready to create a poster.
I created about 10 sketches, here is the four
best that was the last inspiration for the poster.

I remember how the instructor came on early
stages of posters and said, "I don't feel your object, try to play with it to truly understand the nature of it."
STEP 4
The Poster! I hope you can feel the uniqueness of this music box.
